A New Blogger in the House: West Coast Shorter Wife

Well Hello!

My name is Alex Shorter and my sister-in-law, the queen and owner of Grandpa Shorter’s Gifts, Jennifer Shorter, invited me to blog about life.  So here I am after gladly accepting.

A little about me – I married Jenn’s brother, Ryan, on the front porch of our Wenatchee, Washington house in 2007 after uprooting the 6th generation Petoskey native to start our life together.  Since then we have spent all our time renovating our old orchard house into a modern home, running ski racing camps and ski team and starting a family.  Little Carl Gilbert Shorter II (named after Grandpa Shorter) was born on August 14, 2011 and has been the light of our lives since.

To start out I MUST tell you about my FAVORITE product right now.

Wet-it! Cloths 

I got one on a whim while I was shopping at J.W. Shorter & Son Mercantile.

Seriously, the best $5.95 I ever spent.

They actually make wiping counter tops, backslashes, walls, high chairs, tables, chairs and the list goes on… FUN.  Seriously, the best and most favorite rag/ sponge ever.  Not only do they cut down on laundry from rags and waste from paper towels they are just so fun to use as they work soooooooo well.  Even better you can wash them in the dishwasher, microwave and washing machine of course

This is a must have stocking stuffer or gift for everyone and anyone.  I just gave a few out as gifts and they got the best response – people cannot stop talking about them.  So get some for yourself and some for your friends and everyone will be happy.

The best gift is a useful one.
