Fun Thanksgiving Turkey Craft for Kids!
Hello, friends! Thanksgiving is on the horizon and today I’m bringing you some fun kids craft activities! I’m not sure about your kids, but my girls are obsessed with crafts. I’ve tried my best to contain the mess as much as I can, but it doesn’t help that my work often involves working on fun kids activities, crafts, recipes and photos. It’s just part of the job.
For Halloween we worked on making cute K-Cup Ghosts so thinking a head a few weeks for for Thanksgiving, I decided to use up some of the excess pinecones I had lying around in my craft area to make these adorable Thanksgiving turkeys. My pinecones were leftover from last Christmas but you can always find yours outside on a nature walk or buy them at Joann’s (I won’t judge!).
Thanksgiving Pinecone Turkey Materials –
pinecones
fake fall leaves (real leaves will also work but keep in mind, they might crumble once dried)
red, brown and yellow felt
small craft scissors
hot glue gun
Directions –
#1. Plug in the hot glue gun and allow it to heat up.
#2. Glue a few leave to the back of the pinecone giving each turkey some feathers.
#3. Turn the turkey on it’s side and cut a small circle out of brown felt. Hot glue it to the front of the turkey as it’s face.
#4. Cut a small triangle for the turkey’s nose out of the yellow felt and a waddle out of the red felt. Glue each to the turkey’s face.
Voila! Super cute turkey’s for Thanksgiving! I love the idea of making each a place setting too; simply right yur guests name on a small piece of paper and place between the cones.
