The Grandpa Shorter’s Gifts Team donated $1,700 to the Mossy Foot Project on behalf of Kim Redman. Mossy Foot is a painful foot disease that affects the people of Ethiopia called Podoconiosis. Custom shoes are required for the patients suffering. They cost $17 a pair to make. The nonprofit does its best to make as many as they can, but the funds are limited. This donation will result in 100 pairs of custom shoes being made on-site in Ethiopia for suffering patients.
Kim Redman says, “I just can’t thank Grandpa Shorter’s Gifts and its employees enough for their help in raising the needed funds for 100 pairs of custom shoes. Shoes are the key to eradicating this isolating and painful disease.”
