Northern Michigan Summer Camps for Kids
Good morning, friends! Can you believe it’s the last week of April already? I don’t know about you, but I’m getting antsy for school to be out and for summer to finally be here! Today on the blog I am bringing you information on summer camps here in Northern Michigan.
I work from home year-round and the last few years we have taken advantage of a local day camp provided by Bayview Association here in Petoskey. Last summer was the first summer all 3 kiddos attended. Our youngest was finally old enough to join Bay View’s Tot Lot program for 3-4 year old’s. Not only does dropping them off for a few hours offer me a break where I can get my work done, the kids love it. They do crafts, nature walks, field trips, you name it. Plus, Bayview includes a tennis or swim lesson in the afternoon at their private beach along Lake Michigan. For us, having the kids take swim lessons was a no brainer. We are out on our boat almost every day during the summer months and living around lakes year-round it’s simply a necessity. Bayview’s camp is only 2 hours Monday-Friday and that worked really well for us. I didn’t want the kids to be gone all day, but 2 hours is enough time for all of us to get out of the house.
