Northern Michigan Winter Farmer’s Markets
Hello, friends and welcome back! This week on the blog I’m bringing you Northern Michigan Winter Farmers Markets. It’s mid-February here in Northern Michigan and the snow is falling lightly outside my office window as I type up this blog post. It is full on winter here in Petoskey and we are loving it. The kids have been outside almost every day after school or bugging me to play on the huge off-limits snowhill at school when I pick them up. This winter has been mild too, so no complaints here. We’ve had a few snow days but Petoskey tends to not close as often as the other public schools in our area and I’m okay with that. Working from home is a blessing but I won’t lie, when the kids are home it’s really hard to actually get some things done and I often find myself trying to keep them busy so I can get my work done.
It’s this time of year that I often start day-dreaming of spring break and warmer weather. Weekly indoor farmers markets are the perfect place to stop in and mosey around looking for fresh seasonal vegetables, yummy baked goods and locally handmade items. It isn’t as crowded as your typical summer market but the bounty is still there and local farmers and vendors are there to help you find what you are looking for.
