One Bowl Touchdown Football Brownies
Hi, everyone and welcome back! With football season in full swing (I’m listening to a game in the background as I type up this blog post), I thought I’d share a fun and easy recipe for homemade touchdown brownies. They are perfect for a crowd or just to make and have with family during a weekend football game. Regardless of what team you are rooting for, these brownies are one bowl and only take a few minutes to whip up and throw into the oven. Everyone will love them!
Touchdown Brownies Ingredients –
1 C. butter, melted
3 C. sugar
1 C. unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 C. flour
white frosting
small sandwich baggie
kitchen scissors
football shaped cookie cutter (I used my Easter Egg cookie cutter 😉 )
Directions –
#1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a 9x 13 baking dish with parchment paper or foil.
#2. Combine all the ingredients (except the white frosting) in one bowl, mixing well.
#3. Pour the batter into the 9×13 baking dish and evenly spread out.
#4. Bake 25-30 minutes. Insert a toothpick around 25 minutes. If it comes out dry, the brownies are done. Allow them to cool completely.
#5. Once the brownies have completely cooled, lift the foil/parchment paper out of the pan.
#6. Use the cookie cutter to carefully cut the brownies into football shapes. I was able to get about 18 football brownies using my medium size cookie cutter.
#7. Scoop a few large tablespoons of white frosting into the small sandwich baggie. Close the bag and snip the corner of the bag using the kitchen scissors.
#8. Gently squeeze the frosting out of the baggie making football hashmarks on the brownies.
#9. Repeat until you have decorated all the brownies.
