Brownwood Farms Apple Riesling Pork Chops Recipe Grandpa Shorter's Hello again, friends! With fall being right around the corner and school starting soon, if it hasn’t already for you, we are all pressed for time and making dinner some nights is just an absolute chore. I love to cook, especially from scratch, but sometimes I just don’t have the time to cook a meal that takes an hour or two to make, and less than than 10 minutes to eat.

Our middle kiddo is starting gymnastics this fall. The youngest is continuing dance class from last year and my oldest starts hockey again in only a matter of weeks, which includes practice two nights a week. My anxiety is starting to rise. Enter my beloved slow cooker. Oh, the slow cooker, every mom’s go-to kitchen helper. Helping mom’s (and, dad’s) make delicious meals for busy family’s since 1936. I use mine at least once a week when school starts. I try to plan a head but sometimes that doesn’t always happen but once a week an easy slow cooker meal that can provide leftovers is a plus for me.

This weekend I tested out a new recipe I thought of, Slow Cooker Apple Reisling Pork Chops using Brownwood Farms Apple Reisling Salsa from Grandpa Shorter’s. My first idea was to grill the pork chops, however we are down to just our charcoal grill and refuse to operate it (yes, I’m a girl). So, my next thought was using the slow cooker. Way easy! It doesn’t over heat the house and the pork chops turned out great! Throw the pork chops in, let cook on low for several hours, serve with a side dish or simple salad and you are all set. The pork chops were moist and fell off the bone too. Easy and delicious.
