St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations Around Michigan
Your last name doesn’t have to be O’Reilly to dress in green and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. On March 17th, everyone is Irish for a day. Here’s a list of places around Michigan where you can listen to an Irish tune and raise a glass of green beer to St. Paddy.
Grand Ledge – March 13th & 14th This celebration in the downtown features two nights of Irish dance and music, a parade and more.
Muskegon – March 14th The parade takes place in downtown Muskegon. The route follows Clay and surrounding streets, ending at Hennessey’s. It begins at 11am.
Holland – March 14th The downtown celebration beings with a parade at 12pm. The parade route starts at the Eight Street Marketplace and goes east up Eighth Street to the Curragh Irish Pub and New Holland Brewing Company Restaurant and Pub.
Brooklyn – Taste of the Irish Hills March 14 & 15 This is a self-guided two-day tour of over 20 area restaurants and pubs. Tickets are $25 per person.
Kalamazoo – March 14th The parade begins at 11:00 a.m. on the Burdick St. Mall, at Michigan Ave. in downtown.
Ludington – March 14th The weekend celebration features a 5k, Parade, and a Pub Crawl.
Grand Rapids – Irish on Ionia March 14th, 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. This day-long festival includes a Kegs and Eggs buffet breakfast, live music and of course beer. General admission tickets will be available at the gate for $15.
Thompsonville – Crystal Mountain St. Patrick’s Day Celebration – March 17th This ski resort St. Patrick’s Day party includes a scavenger hunt and Green Beer Bash.
Detroit – March 15th – Parade kicks off at noon at 6th Street and Michigan Ave. and ends at 14th Street.
