What You’ll Find at Michigan Farm Markets this Fall

Time is running out in Michigan to enjoy fresh out-of-the-ground veggies, but if you hurry to your local farm market you can still find plenty of in-season produce to fill your table. Here’s a list of what you can bring home this month and links to a few ideas for cooking them up in your kitchen.
- Beets – Try grilling this earthy, sweet root vegetable for a simple side dish.
- Broccoli
- Brussels Sprouts – Try roasting these in balsamic vinegar for a new twist. Even if you think you don’t like Brussels Sprouts, this may change your mind.
- Cabbage – This may be unfamiliar to folks up in Michigan, but Southern Fried Cabbage is amazing.
