Erica B. – Grandpa Shorter’s May Featured Employee

Hello, friends and welcome back! As you may have noticed we started featuring a new employee every month on the blog. Well, I’ll be honest, April got away from me so I’m at it and today on the blog we are featuring another hard working Grandpa Shorter’s employee of the month!

Ever wonder how Grandpa Shorter’s customer service is so fabulous? It’s because of these hard working, customer service oriented guys and gals working tirelessly to give you the best possible customer service. With it being the start of the busy summer season, Grandpa Shorter’s will be hopping so make sure you stop in the next time you are in Petoskey and say hello!

For the month of May, I’m introducing you to Erica B. Erica has been with Grandpa Shorter’s for 5 years. Like many of the of the other Grandpa Shorter’s employee’s we feature on the blog, Erica is also a Jack of All Trades throughout the store. She is the floor manager, event coordinator for Grandpa Shorter’s and Jennifer Shorter’s personal assistant. Too sum it up, Erica get’s it all done with a smile while working in almost every area of the store.

Erica, like many Grandpa Shorter’s employee’s was born and raised here in Northern Michigan and other than the snow she wouldn’t choose to live anywhere else. On her days off, Erica enjoys spending time with her lab and beagle mix, Lucy. When I asked Erica what her favorite products were, she mentioned the gorgeous Leland Blue Jewelry items saying she loves all the pieces.

Some other fun information about Erica –

Q: Do you have family in the area?

A: I have an older sister (Erin) and a younger half-brother (Ethan). I also have a niece (Quinn) and a nephew (Brock). 

Q: What is your favorite place to eat lunch or dinner in the Petoskey area? 

A: I love Roast and Toast. My go-to meal is a Milky Way Mocha and chicken quesadilla.

Q: If you had to live anywhere else other than Northern Michigan, where would it be and why?

A: I would love to live somewhere warm. If Northern Michigan could be warm year round….then I would be happy…..But I don’t like to be cold and I don’t enjoy the snow.

Q: what is your favorite food?

A: Coffee. All day. Every day.
