What is Small Business Saturday?
Small Business Saturday is an official national event, taking place on the Saturday after Thanksgiving each year. Since 2010, Small Business Saturday has put the spotlight on small businesses and local businesses.
American Express sponsors Small Business Saturday. They have a handy map to help you find all the small businesses in your area. The goal of Small Business Saturday is encouraging shoppers to shop at local small businesses to support their community. After shopping, stick around for the Petoskey Holiday Parade. This year, for the first time, the Petoskey Sunrise Rotary Club will run the holiday parade. The rotary club will have more details in the coming weeks.
The holiday parade will feature our very own award-winning Petoskey Marching Northmen Band, the Petoskey Steel Drum Band, and a host of local organizations. The evening time means plenty of holiday lights to enjoy! The parade will start at 6pm and will come down Mitchell and Lake Streets.
